      Scout Loses Family
      April 16, 2004

      Nick Brandt, Scout with 226, lost his mother and step dad in a house fire this past weekend.  He and his sister are staying with family friends at the present time.




        Rice,

        I think we have the clothing issue covered but they need money and other comforts of home. Is there anyway we can set up a cash can or something and let everyone know ahead of time that we are accepting donations. Nick is a very excited young scout and was a blast having him in the troop. I have received a huge response from the scouting families and it blew me away. I was shocked to see offers coming in from units that didn't know where we were even located. 
        Let me know what I need to do if the cash can is an option. Grace Lutheran Church and Farmers Bank are also setting up accounts for them.
