      Subject: Important Camporee Information

Important Information Regarding the All-Council Camporee
Check in for Camporee will begin at 3PM and last until 9PM on Friday, April 23. Prior to this time the gate will be closed and cars will need to wait at the Cub World area as the staff prepares the site for occupation. (While you may find this gate unlocked so that staff may come and go, units may not enter earlier than 3PM.)

To aid in helping units get situated, camping areas will be assigned and labeled. Upon entering the area, the lead car in each unit will be given a registration packet that will contain a map to your camp location, wrist bands, and other important information. If your unit owes money, it will be collected at this time.

                PLEASE NOTE:

a.. PARKING: Parking will be at a PREMIUM so pack as many persons per car as the seatbelts will allow.
b.. ARRIVAL: Units should arrive as a group, if at all possible.
c.. UNLOADING: Because of safety concerns due to the high number of people in
camp, vehicles will not be allowed in the campsites. Unloading will be at the road ONLY,
and then drivers will be asked to move vehicles to the designated parking
area(s) as soon as possible to relieve congestion. Therefore, scouts/units should pack accordingly.
d.. CAMPSITES: Campsites will be marked by number and unit assigned to that site.
e.. BRING: Among your things, bring plenty of water and trash bags. You will be asked to haul out your trash. Also bring safety glasses for the shooting sports and arm guards for archery. Toilet paper is always good.
f.. ALSO BRING: A happy camper attitude! We will be facing many logistical challenges. Not everything will go as smoothly as we would like it to. Be prepared. Be flexible. Be happy.

Further information regarding Camporee, including a PDF leader information file with a schedule, is available on the web at:
