A note from the Lodge Advisor.

 

I was made aware of a situation with the lodge's mailing for the upcoming Summer Ordeal, August 26 - 28, 2005.  The mailing was not completed as instructed.  The Ordeal Candidate letters were mailed without any known exceptions.  That was not the case with the mailing going to the regular membership.

 

By the best estimate, around 250 of the 478 letters were posted as of 7/27/2005.  After hearing of the apparent shortage of mailing, I found 89 mailing labels that were not used still at one of the Scout offices.  These labels were put on envelopes and posted via first class mail on 8/9/2005.  This leaves some 139 members that may not have been sent the information.

 

There is no way at this time to find out or even guess who may have been missed, if anyone was.  

 

I am asking each one of you to contact the OA members in your unit, District and Council groups to let them know about the Ordeal coming up on August 26 - 28, 2005 at Camp Orr.  The registration forms for regular members and for potential Brotherhood Candidates are posted on the Razorback District's Web Site (www.razorbackscouts.org), OA Page..

 

Registration deadline has been extended from August 12th as noted on the forms to August 19th.  This should give all a chance to get their registration forms into the Fort Smith office so they can attend the Ordeal.
