Sonny Green

Long time Scouter and former council employee Sonny Green passed away on Monday.  Sonny was a resident of Fayetteville for the past few years and worked at the Razorback Service Center for a time.  Before that lived in the Ft Smith/Van Buren area.  He  was a surgical nurse by profession, Sonny also worked at Camp Orr as the staff medical officer several summers. Sonny was an asst Den Leader with Mr. Bill Spilman and was one of the founding members of Troop 110.   He served on WB staff for SR-374 and other courses before that.

Sonny had a sunny disposition and beaming a smile.  He personified Scouting in many ways.  Sonny took an interest in the boys of Troop 110 and they considered him a good friend.  Sonny will be missed.

There will be an memorial service for Sonny Green tomorrow (Thursday) at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel at 10:00 A.M.  
The address is 700 Jefferson(downtown) Van Buren.
