Good Turn for America

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, members of the Boy Scouts of 
America throughout the country are demonstrating their commitment to help 
other people in numerous ways.  To support these efforts at the council 
and unit level, the National Council has established a Web site at 
www.goodturnforamerica.org/katrina

 This Web site provides suggested activities and projects for Scouting 
units, a list of councils significantly impacted by the storm, "good news" 
stories that profile the ways in which units are helping survivors, a link 
to the "Scouting Friends" site where individuals may make donations 
online, and links to local council sites.

Your assistance is needed - individuals and units that wish to find out 
about opportunities in their local area are being directed to their local 
council Web sites - so add a link to your council's home page that these 
users may follow to retrieve a list of council initiatives to help provide 
support for victims of the disaster.
